SuiteWorld 2026 was Oracle NetSuite's annual customer conference, held in Las Vegas from 25-26th October 2026. NetSuite used the event to set out its Autonomous Suite direction:

  • Prebuilt AI skills
  • Industry AI agents
  • AI-assisted implementation toolset
  • A wider rollout of its AI-first NetSuite Next experience.

The biggest shift announced at SuiteWorld 2026 isn't a single feature. It's a change in what NetSuite expects AI to do. Until now, AI in ERP has mostly answered questions and made suggestions. NetSuite's new direction is AI that investigates issues, prepares the work and takes action, with your team reviewing the outcome.

Several announcements are limited to the US and Canada for now, and some are still on the roadmap.

What New NetSuite AI Features are available in Australia

The practical question is what you can use in your NetSuite account today, and whether your current setup is ready for what comes next. If you're already on NetSuite, this is a good moment to get more from your existing NetSuite before adding new AI on top.

Here's what was announced, what applies in Australia, and how to prepare.

The big idea: NetSuite's Autonomous Suite

NetSuite's Autonomous Suite is its plan for AI that turns insight into action across finance and operations. According to NetSuite's Autonomous Suite announcement, the new capabilities are designed to help businesses turn insights into action, automate complex processes and improve performance. One NetSuite executive went as far as calling it the end of ERP as we know it.

The ERP itself isn't going away. Your general ledger, inventory records and customer data still live in NetSuite. What changes is how people work with it: less time navigating screens and building reports, more time reviewing what AI has prepared. We covered the broader trend in our article on how AI is changing ERP systems.

What "autonomous" means in practice

Autonomous doesn't mean unsupervised. In practice, AI handles the repetitive groundwork, such as pulling data, spotting exceptions and drafting the next step, while people stay accountable for the decisions.

For finance teams, that is going to matter in your day to day. The controls you currently rely on, including approvals, segregation of duties and audit trails, need to apply to AI in the same way they apply to your staff.

Why it matters to finance leaders

The pressure to act on AI is coming from the top. Boards want to know what the business is doing about it, and the ERP is the natural place to start because it already holds your financial and operational data.

"Boards are saying to CFOs and CEOs, what are you doing about AI? So the logical place is to use artificial intelligence that coexists as new features in your existing ERP to enhance business functions." - Tiernan O'Connor, Director of Customer Success

For NetSuite customers, that's the advantage of this announcement. The AI is being built into the system you already run, rather than bolted on from outside.

5 NetSuite announcements from SuiteWorld 2026 worth knowing

NetSuite made a long list of announcements at SuiteWorld 2026, but 5 matter most for mid-market businesses.

1. SuiteSkills (Rolling out in Australia)

SuiteSkills are prebuilt business skills that give AI NetSuite's expertise. NetSuite launched more than 45 SuiteSkills, designed to help AI investigate issues, make informed decisions and take action. Think of them as packaged know-how: instead of asking AI a vague question and hoping it understands your business, the skill gives it a tested approach to a specific task.

According to Diginomica's SuiteWorld coverage, NetSuite says the numbers come out consistent whether the skills run in Claude, ChatGPT or NetSuite Next. For finance teams, consistent answers are the minimum bar for trusting AI with reporting.

2. Industry SuiteAgents (Rolling out in Australia)

SuiteAgents are AI agents built for specific industries. NetSuite's new SuiteAgents combine industry expertise with business context to improve operational efficiency. Agents for software, product and construction businesses are available now in NetSuite Next, with services, healthcare and nonprofit agents planned for a future release.

The industry focus is the important part. A general AI assistant doesn't know how revenue recognition works for a SaaS business or how progress billing works for a builder. An industry agent starts with that context already in place.

3. SuiteExpress (US and Canada only for now)

SuiteExpress is NetSuite's new AI-assisted implementation toolset and methodology. NetSuite says it combines NetSuite expertise with customer-specific knowledge to reduce manual effort and adapt ERP as the business changes. It builds a knowledge base from material such as meeting notes, documents, spreadsheets and recordings.

The initial release is limited to software industry customers in the US and Canada, and there's no announced timeline for Australia. Faster setup is welcome, but the parts of a NetSuite implementation that decide success haven't changed: understanding how your business really works, cleaning your data and getting your team to adopt the system.

4. NetSuite Data Intelligence (Check availability for your account)

NetSuite Analytics Warehouse has been renamed NetSuite Data Intelligence. Alongside the new name comes a conversational data agent, so you can ask questions of your data in plain language rather than building every report by hand. For businesses already using the warehouse, this is an evolution of a tool you have, not a new purchasing decision.

5. AI Connector Service (Available in Australia)

The AI Connector Service lets external AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT work directly with your NetSuite data. Adoption has grown quickly: a NetSuite executive told Diginomica that more than 13,000 customers are now using AI through the service.

Many teams already use these AI tools every day. Connecting them to NetSuite means answers come from your live business data rather than from exports and spreadsheets.

What's available in Australia now, and what's still coming

Not everything announced at SuiteWorld 2026 is available in Australia yet. NetSuite releases features in stages, often starting in the US and Canada. NetSuite Next itself has started rolling out in Australia and New Zealand in stages, and features such as the industry SuiteAgents run inside it.

2 of the SuiteWorld 2026 announcements aren't available in Australia yet.

SuiteExpress The initial release is for software businesses in the US and Canada, and NetSuite hasn't announced a timeline for Australia.

Construction accounting NetSuite also announced a construction accounting solution, separate from the construction SuiteAgent. Oracle still describes it as planned, with no release date.

Before you plan around any new feature, confirm availability and AI usage terms for your account with your NetSuite account manager or partner.

Lessons from NetSuite customers at SuiteWorld 2026

The customer stories at SuiteWorld 2026 shared a common thread: the biggest gains came from a faster financial close and less manual work.

Personal care brand Every Man Jack saves 4,500 hours a year and has cut its financial close time by 50% using NetSuite's embedded and connected AI. Frozen novelties maker JonnyPops has reduced the time spent closing its books by nearly half while supporting rapid expansion.

NetSuite also highlighted food and beverage businesses using embedded AI and the AI Connector Service to get faster access to insights and reduce manual work. That's directly relevant for Australian producers and distributors running the NetSuite Food and Beverage Edition.

None of these results came from switching on AI alone. They build on a well-run NetSuite environment where the data is trusted, and that's the same pattern we see with Australian clients.

"Ten days is quite a common scenario for clients of ours. In NetSuite they can get it done in two or three days." - Tiernan O'Connor, Director of Customer Success, DWR

3 ways to prepare your NetSuite environment for AI

AI is only as good as the data and setup underneath it. The businesses getting real value from NetSuite AI are the ones that already have clean records, clear processes and well-defined roles.

1. Clean data and clear roles first

AI works with whatever data and permissions it's given. Duplicate customers, inconsistent item records or loose role permissions will show up in AI outputs, just as they show up in your reports today. A data and roles review is the most useful preparation most businesses can do right now.

2. Start with the processes that cost you the most time

Pick one or two processes where your team spends the most manual effort, such as month-end close, reconciliations or management reporting. These are the areas NetSuite's AI is focused on, and where the customer results above came from. Starting narrow makes it easier to measure the gain and build trust in the outputs.

3. Build on a solid foundation

Automation pays off most when the foundations are right. Espresso Displays, an Australian maker of portable USB-C displays, replaced seven or eight separate Xero accounts and Shopify stores with a single NetSuite environment, and tripled its revenue without increasing headcount. AI adds the most value on top of that kind of unified platform.

If your NetSuite environment has grown messy over time, an experienced NetSuite support team can help you prioritise the clean-up before new AI features arrive.

What SuiteWorld 2026 means for your business

SuiteWorld 2026 made NetSuite's direction clear: AI is moving from answering questions to doing the groundwork, with your team reviewing and approving the results. That direction is being built into the platform you already use, so you don't need a new system to benefit.

Australia will receive these features in stages, so confirm what's available before you plan around it. In the meantime, clean data, clear roles and well-run processes are what will turn these announcements into real results for your business.
