How often does NetSuite update, and will it break our customisations?

NetSuite releases two major updates annually (typically February and August):

• Updates are automatically applied to all accounts
• NetSuite tests all standard functionality before release
• Custom scripts and workflows require testing but rarely break
• SuiteApps are certified compatible before each release
• Extensive release notes provided 6-8 weeks in advance

Best practice: Test customisations in sandbox environment before production release.
