This month we would like to look at just 5 TIPS & TRICKS that we trust will provide greater awareness. We suggest you read them all as you may find that the lucky last one is the most useful!!

Challenge 1 – We need to email invoices from SunSystems
Response – Yes the Sundry Invoicing function delivers this capability

Challenge 2 – We need to be able to automatically allocate expenses across departments based on a parameter that we define (eg headcount/floor area)
Response – Yes you can using the standard Corporate Allocations function

Challenge 3 – We need to schedule SunSystems & Vision Q&A Reports to run overnight
Response – Yes the Vision Q&A Alert function delivers this and more

Challenge 4 – We need to be able to generate an Aged Debtors report at any time
Response – Yes a Vision Q&A report can be configured to do this

Challenge 5 – I need to improve the performance of the SunSystems or Vision Q&A applications

Response – There are several options; one is to archive your data which can be done in both SunSystems 4 or 5, we can performance tune Vision Q&A reports, we can schedule reports to run out of business hours, you can improve the hardware capacity with our technical advice and lastly, we can potentially do some SQL database tuning.
